We recently learned that there is a quality issue which may render these 2 hard hats incapable of providing the impact protection it should be providing and is certified to provide. Therefore, they have been recalled.
No incidents have been reported because of the questionable quality of these hard hats – this is a voluntary recall.
It’ll take just a few moments to check if the hard hat you purchased is recalled. All you gotta do is check the date imprinted on your hard hat, and we’ll show you just how!
How To Check Your Hard Hat:
You can see the date your hard hat was purchased, by checking under the rim. As seen below.
Fibre Metal E2 hard hat: If your hard hat has the manufacturer’s date of either December 2017 or January 2018, it has been recalled.
North Peak A79 hard hat: If you hard hat is imprinted with manufacturer’s dates between April 2016 and January 2018 and have the mold identification number of “4”, it has been recalled.
